Have you heard of daily deal sites? If not then read on, I will give you the low down on how these great sites can save you some serious cash.

Daily deal sites offer a wide variety of both products and services at discounted prices. They do have some great exclusive offers, which are only available on the sites. As a money saver I do check if the same offer is cheaper direct with the company or supplier. The services offered tend to be much cheaper, however some products may be cheaper in the sale at other stores, so always worth checking.

Most sites offer discounted products such as grooming products, children’s toys and seasonal products.   The services offered are great and offer some experiences such as afternoon tea, hotel stays and spa days.  There are also some that you may not have ordinarily thought of buying such as sky diving, zorbing or supercar driving.  Most sites give you the option to may multiples of the experience you are purchasing, so if you are organising a group event this is great. Are you looking for a special birthday or Christmas present? Then how about buying an experience as a gift for someone special. Have they always wanted to go scuba diving? Then you could buy them that gift.

The sites are quick to sign up to and easy to use. You will need to print off your vouchers and hand it to the venue when you have purchased a service.  Always read the small print on the deals before you hit the buy it now button, many exclusions are in place for example, some hotel stays have limited dates that you can book.

I have personally used Groupon for several types of deals including spa days, afternoon tea and beauty treatments.  They regularly also have discounts on top of discounts, recently I got a 50% off a beauty offer, making it only £12.00, what a bargain!  So keep an eye out for the discount codes which either pop up on screen or are emailed to you.  The offers have time limits on, however I have found many are re-advertised throughout the year.

Another great site which offers some bargain products and services.  I have only booked one offer via this site and not encountered any problems.  Again there are a variety of products and services. This site offers glamping and holiday park stays too. So if you are looking for a cheap UK getaway, the prices are good value.  If you are looking for something more exotic then checkout Wowcher’s long haul holidays, which include flights, they are massively discounted. Booking via a normal travel agent would cost double or triple the price.

Living Social

Living Social offers the many discounted products and services and also some more unusual ones too.   Will writing, Coronation Street tour and also many creative courses are available.  I have only used this once for afternoon tea and it was a straight forward process and I saved money.  They offer some great travel deals, which offer some great UK hotel stays.
